Our tall 8 year old (now nearly 10) has been riding it non-stop since he got it a year and half ago. I think it will probably do him for another year or two too. He's 8 but tall and I'm findings his child's mountain bike (EBC Cairn) is getting small and anyway it's heavy and really just intended for pottering around the park.</p> <p>I'm thinking about something lighter and more suited for longer runs rather than play. Something that could be fitted with mudguards and a bottle cage. If he were bigger I'd be thinking a cross bike would be ideal but grateful for any other thoughts or ideas of companies to look at. </p>
