Not that I needed any of it, which in itself is an amazing thing. </p> <p>By 1.15 we already had the number we expected(40), and by the 1.30 kickoff, another 80 had rocked up. </p> <p>I was leading the ride, so I had to try and find a good spot to park a century of cyclists to wait for the rear of the group; we were obeying the silly IR-sensor lights, so we got split up. </p> <p>Next year, I'm getting a hands-free phone set so I've got real-time information about the back end. I have to confess, it's maybe a foot shorter than originally.
