He told me he took a while to be nice to cyclists again following a trip down from Inverness where he allowed a party of six cyclists on to the train. One of the bikes got scratched and the cyclist sued Scotrail. The guard was then hauled in and given a roasting. There are about 60 people in my office and I'd say that a good 90% of them hate cyclists. They make this very clear with the things they say to me and the stories they tell about about how cyclists have annoyed them. I'd love to work somewhere that encouraged cycling and gave me more bikes to count. I stained a muscle in my side the other day lifting my bike up to my flat and I was in quite a lot of pain, the first thing my boss said to me was "you really should get a car, bikes are not good for you. If you need a parking space you can have 1, it would be great to get 1 more bike of the road." The bike racks outside have a mix of staff and student bikes which change throughout the day, and may have people who work elsewhere as well. And I have no idea how many people work in my workplace! </p>
