Cyclestreets suggests <a href="http://edinburgh.cyclestreets.net/journey/2215705/">this route</a></p> <p>Assuming I take the quiet route, is there some reason that I'm missing for getting off the canal at Hailesland road (is that where we often see buses waiting?), rather than further on at calder crescent? Or splitting the diff and just going straight up wester hailes road? </p> <p>I'll be armed with Spokes map, rather than gps/smartphone so any landmarks appreciated (I figure I'll have gone too far if I cross the ringroad). </p>
