At the time I was too concussed to remember which post it was, but my pal and I decided it was most likely the one that had been yanked out the ground. </p> <p>I then went back at Christmas time last year and discovered the whole fence has fallen into such disrepair that I have no idea which is the guilty party.</p> <p>At work, the kids show none of the reticence of adults when it comes to facial scarring, so they just come right out and ask, but me being me I prefer to come up with an outrageous lie before getting the cycle safety message in. For example:</p> <p>- I got into a knife fight with a shark when I was in Brooklyn. Jumped out an alleyway and tried to mug me.</p> <p>- I wasn't getting good marks in exams at school, so they swapped my brain with that of a manatee. After that all I wanted to do was laze about estuaries and eat algae so my marks got ever worse, and they swapped my brain back in.</p> <p>- I used to have a job testing razor sharp boomerangs. They didn't make it past the testing phase.</p> <p>- I cut myself shaving and vowed never to touch a razor again.</p> <p>- You did it. You don't remember that time you ran around with a chainsaw trying to massacre everyone?
