The crossing itself will be unsegregated and tactiles will be installed at either side of this crossing. Lots of work still to be completed beneath the bridge opposite Macro, and they've not yet put in the crossing point to reach the still-fenced-off shared use path at Bankhead which heads through the underpass towards Edinburgh Park. Without road noise. Without hitting a button to cross. Seriously, George Street is tailor-made for this, utterly perfect. It's one of the things that would make it into the 'top ten things to do' at the beginning of a Lonely Planet or Rough Guide.
