"

just wanted to flag up that the Culture Kitchen Relay will be in Edinburgh on Thursday 23 August, and we're looking for a local group or individual who would like to share a recipe with us that celebrates community growing and local food.

About Culture Kitchen Relay

The Hidden Gardens in Glasgow is joining forces with The Fife Diet to create a unique recipe relay around Scotland this August in the lead up to Blasda – Scotland’s Local Food Feast on Saturday 15 September.

Clem Sandison (artist, grower and Creative Producer of Culture Kitchen) will be teaming up with Najma Anwar (fabulous cook and volunteer with the Hidden Gardens Cultural Cookery Group) and Kathryn VandenBerg (community gardener and co-ordinator of Sow And Grow Everywhere) to embark upon an epic 14 day road trip around Scotland passing recipes from one community to another.

The focus is on family dishes that have been passed down and are based on regional produce, including home-grown fruit and vegetables, foraged wild plants and berries, freshly landed fish and seafood, and locally farmed meat and cheese.

Please see attachment for more info, and get in touch if you're interested in participating or would like to have a chat about it. We have confirmed about half of the stops on the route so far and I'm keen to ensure Edinburgh's local food scene is well represented.

Many thanks

Clem
