Well I do like chocolate covered coffee beans. You can't fold them but it's coffee you can carry in your pocket.

folds -I like my bikes like I like my coffee.

how do you fold coffee? I can see espresso or macchiato being petit but powerful but can't get the origami into it.

To be fair, I'm not sure there are many crashes that would have been averted by a different RAL shade on the frame... ;-)

British racing green would be the winner for me, always liked it.

the bikechain - Looked like British Racing Green when I got to the Farrow and Ball site. Good colour. Quite dark as is the Mallard. Both are good. The guy that came into the shop to have his headset walloped by the big rubber mallet had a groovy green, slightly lighter, possibly more visible? all nicer than drab surly khaki

@chdot: Right. Gresley's Mallard, like other post-1937 but pre-war A4s is painted in Garter Blue; Sir Nigel Gresley is in BR Dark Blue; and Bittern and Union of South Africa are in Brunswick Green.

If you're going for a custom colour, why not pick the shade from the RAL colour space? As near as reproducible on a computer screen, this website RAL chart isn't bad. Kinetics has a RAL chart available as well.

Oh I like that green. I think it will stand out a bit.

So that is one all. Not much help so far are we? ;-)

Either way it will look great anyway.

I'd go for Mallard. Looks classy and you won't have to keep spotless.

I had a bike that was Nachtblau - Midnight Blue.
It was really nice.

Good choice. ;-) What sort of pale green are we talking? If it's hospital wall
green then no. Otherwise it could look pretty nice.
Blue is good too but a lot of people have blue bikes..

Evening,

Just putting some plans together for my new Super Commuter and in strong contention is the Surly Cross Check.

HOWEVER i fancy a custom colour powder coat.

Suggestions please.

At the moment i am swithering between Mallard Blue and a pale green.
