I'd get a bigger childseat and then a tagalong, or a trailer - all available secondhand. Weeho's tremendously expensive in comparison and limited use. Also much longer than a tagalong, so tricky around corners/bollards.

One thing I've noticed whenever we're shown pics of 'european cycling' is that they have kids in bike seats much older/bigger than we would here. My daughter who is big for her age was fine in copilot until 4 1/2 - she'd still fit in it okay now if needed, and she's the size of a well-grown six year old. She wouldn't fit a hamax though. The simple european seats seem good for bigger kids -- well up to school age.

When I was at same stage as you, I thought the wee-hoo would be a great option. But looking back at it, very glad I didn't go down that route. (I did worry about her being used to falling asleep on the tandem or tagalong, but she's never even come close to it.)

We don't but we do have a Tag-along. You're welcome to look at it. If you are on a budget then we got ours second hand practically new but with added dust for £70 off Gumtree. They are around £150 new. I do like the look of the Weehoo and it would be good for sleepy children as when our youngest got tired and his afternoon nap time approached, I had to ride back leaving him with my partner at the side of the road while I returned with the car.

Hi All

My daughter (almost 4) is starting to feel too big for her child seat on my bike (I can feel her knees in my back a lot of the time, plus her feet are now starting to be too big for the straps!!).

Has anyone on the forum got a Weehoo? I'm keen to have a look at one ideally in Edinburgh.

Or, when is the next 'try lots of kid bike trailers' events at bike station?

Many thanks for any help, James.
