Hi Edinburgh Food People

Edinburgh’s Blasda event will be on Sunday 16th September at Out of the Blue, Dalmeny Street, Leith. The space is booked from 2 - 7 pm

Plans are still being finalised but will include:

Garden Displays (and guides of/walks to?) : Redbraes Community Garden, Sunshine on Leith, Lochend Garden and others?

Workshops on:

* A local food audit, led by Ally Tibbitt from Greener Lwith, to be developed into an extended online Edinburgh food map

* Eating local on a budget by Jodie on 'the accessibility and affordability of a local diet in Edinburgh'

* The Roving Fromagerie - celebrating Scottish cheese! With cheese-expert Phoebe Weller 'Scottish Cheese – a wee history of cheesemaking in Scotland, from Gruth Dhu to Dunsyre'.

Food stalls: we need suggestions for other stallholders to invite asap. And volunteers to help out?
It's free so we just need people to do a bit of ringing round and emailing.

Suggestions so far: the Manorhouse bakery, Zapatista Coffee, Phantassie Farm, Cyrenians, Stewart Bros beer.

Additional food served up by (we hope) Leith Open Space's 'world kitchen'.

Other activities: Flour Mill Bike with the Seed Truck and baking with Breadshare

We are needing to move forward and firm up plans. If you can help we do need a hand so please get in touch?

cheers

Mike
