I see this all the time here. A similar phenomenon occurs when I attempt to cross the main Tollcross junction itself from Lauriston onto Leven St - the traffic from Lothian Road heading south to Brougham quite often just keeps on going even though I've got the green.

The first time this happened, I nearly came a cropper as I set off naively assuming there'd be no traffic crossing my path. I've been wary ever since!

Can't find it on search, but wasn't there recently discussion of Gilmore Place/Home st as an accident black spot (worse than holy corner). Both Monday (5pmish) and today (9.15am) as I was heading from Tarvit St across to Gilmore place, as my light went green and traffic coming from Tollcross has run the red (and not a yellow about to go red, but a fully-changed red).

Suppose it is probably just a coincidence, but not a very nice one.
