<description>&#60;p&#62;Despite the economy shrinking by 6% plus per year for the past 3 years, bike shops are apparently booming because folk can't afford to run their cars any more (Greek petrol now the 2nd most expensive in the EU after austerity tax hikes).&#60;/p&#62;
&#60;p&#62;According to the bike shop owner interviewed, people in Greece are looking for a 'different way to live'.*&#60;/p&#62;
&#60;p&#62;So said Radio 4 this morning, about 8am-ish. Sorry, no link, can't recall what programme either. Just need to take my word for it.&#60;/p&#62;
&#60;p&#62;* The reporter was pleasantly surprised by this, but persisted in seeing not running a car as 'a bad thing' elsewhere in the feature. Bad for filling stations, certainly.
