Is that path through the Dreghorn Woods ( one of Edinburgh's many unknown gems) a 'core path' does anyone know? ie designated as such by the council, It should be!

"
“There was a very specialised kind of mud there. We called it ‘Dreghorn Sludge’.

"
"
Developers Miller Homes and Taylor Wimpey – who have bought the land – will carry out the work under planning arrangements for a nearby part of the Dreghorn Barracks site, known as the Polo Fields, which has been sold for housing.

"

Presume that means they have bought Covananters Wood.

Perhaps the sludgy path that is a perfect way to the base of The Pentlands (following the Braid Burn) will be improved.

I think it's 'officially' known as Covenanters' Wood.

It's the one with the almost unknown, and frequently extremely muddy, route towards the Pentlands - via the controversial Polo Field.

It would be good if this 'history' helped to get access (and paths) improved.
