(although based more on working on yachts)<br /> a) screws?<br /> b) Dowells?<br /> c) does it lift forwards then up?<br /> d) Does it tilt?<br /> e) If all of the above fails it's likely that there has been some sort of seizing event, which has stuck it on. Try a bit of brute force and ignorance. I know perfectly well how to fix it, except I can't get the top off it. Any suggestions? I've never encountered this befre. always in the past the top just lifts off, but ths is a new water-saving toilet, and we cannot seem to get the top to open. </p>
