But the 30kg of ballast I had procured may have helped to stabilise the ship. It takes more than a gust of wind to shift your charted course when you're going fully loaded down a hill. I'm sure it'd be a joy in its home country (Italy).</p> <p>Back in Embra, I may have to go the way of the roadie and put a hat on under the helmet as winter wears on.</p> <p>My main problem with the wind is its infinite-ness, if that's a word. Hills, cobbles, rain, darkness, even traffic and the other impediments to pleasurable cycling are all finite - there's always an end in sight or a workaround. But the wind is always there.
