They will work in summer early autumn late spring but rest of time your will need to have waterproof / wind proof gloves over the top of them thus making electronic bell ringing difficult. That said, in the few months the latest was on the bars I think I've used it 2 or 3 times. So maybe I'll just no bother... </p>
