Aha. That's a new one for me. I'd only heard of them as either cable ties or zip ties. I think the latter is the Americanglish, but it is a nice onomatopoeia.

Tiewraps = zipties :D (You say Tom8toes, I say Tomatoes)

They were very handy last month when a mate's tyre burst on a ride to Kinross. When pumped up the inner tube bulged out of the side so we deflated, tiewrapped/ziptied round the tyre and rim in several places and re inflated. After unfastening his front brakes we managed to get to our destination where his wife came out to collect him.

Spot the cyclist with Marathon Plus!

@DaveC your tool roll is very comprehensive and should get you out of most tight spots. However you appear to have ommitted the random selection of zip ties which no cyclist should be without.

Other random bits and pieces in my tool roll include Park tool disposable tyre boots, a 6-inch section of old tyre and some random sections of old inner tube.

I have a rather good (and equally rather frustrating) multi-tool which has a spoke key, chain breaker and screw drivers in it. The plastic sides also pop-off and can act as tyre levers but I wouldn't give them much chance. I have two of the little Lezyne aluminium ones. They are short but very strong and I don't have tyres that take that much persuasion to get on and off.

I have spare spokes zip-tied onto the seat stay for my touring bike.

Not lights, I had the whole handlebar available to me today :)

Regarding taxi firms, I once bust a spoke on the way in just outside Halls (what used to be) when I lived in Livi. Called a Taxi to take me home, Taxi firm called back to say they would need an extra £5 to carry the bike. I was less than happy, he basically knew I was stuffed and was taking advantage of that.

Thought my load was a little heavy this morning (I was considering using front panniers as well!) so I weighed my panniers once I got into work... 10kg, not outrageous, but explains why the headwind was a bit cheeky today when the bike weighs 15kg unladen :-o
