He must have been ignoring it too since it has come as such a shock but now suddenly, because he wants to cycle, people must start paying attention. You see the same attitude from some drivers who don't care how many kids they might kill until they have one themselves, then they start demanding that everyone else drive carefully. They are right but it still annoys me that they didn't give a toss before.</p> <p>This all sounds rather curmudgeonly but I suppose it just goes to illustrate that the <em>only</em> way to get better attitudes towards cyclists is to get more people cycling.
