A bit more info would be nice. Tried several times using a nine letter/number password, then found the post about filling in your name. What are you supposed to put in the "Website" box? I put Website and a new ten letter password and finally got it to work.

finally managed to change it - maybe now I won't have to keep looking up gmail everytime my browser gets reset and I lose my stored passwords or I move to a different machine

Aha

Thanks blmweb

That makes sense??

As you only need a user name and email to register initially, that seems a bit counterintuitive!

worked okay for me - you have to fill in a firstname / surname otherwise the form is failing I think (but not giving you a message).

Successfully changed my password

Sorry doesn't work for me either and I can't find info in the online BBPress Forum.

You can of course reset your password but you'll just get another unmemorable one!

I'm sure this should be easy but I'm failing to change my password. I go to my profile page, enter a new password (twice) and click Update profile. But there's not really any indication that anything has happened and the new password has not taken effect.
Is there a password policy or something?
