Thanks guys, I've had a couple of good wheelbuilds from them as well :-) Always good to check for confirmatory opinions though ;-)

I believe Kappers is still happy with the dynohub build Bike Works did for him last winter, and I've not detected any problems with any of the three standard wheels they've done for me. Admittedly, one of them is only a few weeks old, but I was impressed but how much effort Dave and Joe put in to making sure they were building what I needed. They might in reality have been desperate to get rid of yet other fixie hipster git, but they gave every impression of being willing to resort to kidnap rather than let me leave the shop with the wrong rims.

Velo Ecosse built me a new back wheel around an Alfine hub 18 months or so ago. It's been fine ever since.

Bicycle works are decent wheel smiths, if you can get Neil Bain he is also very good.

Could always try it your self, it's not That difficult.

Another request for the collective knowledge..

As some of you know I have recently obtained a dynohub, now I need a couple of wheels built, I have the rims and hubs, just need a trustworthy local wheelbuilder who can get the right spokes and assemble the things.

Any top recommendations?
