Saturday - New (online) bike mag - piece of art by Kaputnik is featured.

Tuesday - New (paper) bike mag comes through the door - entire 6 page feature illustrated by the same chap.

(Cycling Active Jan 2013 is the publication)

If he was a band we'd be saying things like "I liked him before he got famous..." and "...he's too commercial these days" ;)

Seriously though, congratulations. Delighted your work is getting a wider audience (and you are, I hope, earning some cash to go with the plaudits).

I did notice that and then completely forgot to reference it when writing the post.

My bad...

Includes a spot of Kaputnik art too! Uncredited, K, but in the context of a Patisserie Cyclisme article.

Spin Cycle Mag

Issue 1 launched on Saturday.

Describes itself as "the North West's only dedicated cycle racing reportage magazine."

As you'd expect it's very NorthwestEngland-centric (and indeed quite scouse-centric in the case of this edition), and very roadie-centric. But it's well-written, nicely put together and visually it looks beautiful.

Don't be put off dipping in even if you've no interest in the racier aspects of cycling and/or no connection to the north-west of England. Anyone with even a passing interest in wheel-building will enjoy the interview with Pete Matthews, while many will be familiar with Patisserie Cyclisme, the founder of which is also interviewed in depth. There's a good feature about the new outdoor velodrome in Knowsley, which may give food for thought for anyone interested in grassroots infrastructure.

FWIW I found the functionality of reading the magazine far better in "iBooks" on the iPad than in a browser, whether iPad or PC based.
