Better to walk west along Lochside Ave (on the north side of the station) and follow this round until just past the roundabout. Then take the signposted path under the by-pass. Follow this round and it'll lead back over the railway and then round to Gogar Station Road. I cannot see how the council could possibly justify a figure of £750,000 to be spent on improving it. What is there that would need that amount spent on it. There are only a few buildings on the premises, and I thought they looked okay the last time I was there, and the garden is just lovely. Could the council not help....well no that would be asking too much.
