I'll keep an eye on the weather this week, if I do end up needing the shoot through umbrella I suspect it may have to be a little calmer than it is today!</p> <p>I had another flick through LR this morning. This shot is tantalisingly close to what I had in mind but I need to think of a way to set up the shot more reliably so I can see when to trip the shutter. Ideally I'd have even less background, what I was really trying to achieve was the rider fairly evenly lit with a dark/black background. The way I read you plan the background and the rider should be more evenly lit. The way I was shown, you set the exposure for the background and then set the flash with the same settings and take your photo.
