Years of half arsed repairs, HGVs and utility trenches filled poorly = terrible on road experience, whatever mode of transport. </em></p> <p>Edinburgh's roads are knackered the whole city needs resurfaced. My wife was over in Christchurch (NZ) a few months after their big earth quake and her mum commented on how bad the roads were.
