Road deaths are caused by cyclists riding recklessly (which it would appear includes avoiding potholes); pedestrians reading Facebook on their phones; pedestrians and cyclists not having insurance; too many cyclists meaning you’ve got to watch out for them and not pedestrians; speed bumps; 20mph zones meaning drivers aren’t paying attention; too many signs… Never, not once, the fault of the driver.</p> <p>The most crass comment is probably this one:</p> <p>“Is it time to force cyclists and pedestrians to have insurance?
