I'm carrying them anyway, they're bright, and they're easy to recharge. Otherwise you can wait for a good 10 minutes with a wall of cars in either direction and there's no central filter lane in which to shelter. The angle is very difficult to pull half across and wait to complete the turn as if turning out of Gorgie Road.
