A good thing on the face of it, but the canopy's loops are too narrow to fit the new design. And the material is a bit rigid and doesn't pack away very easily into the box. Still, it seems pretty waterproof, like a sou'wester.</p> <p>The pilot has to rely on Gore-tex, or whatever rain-proof equivalent is available. However, I managed to secure a test-drive of a similar bakfiets and a Babboe City in London, which reassured me enough to finally take the plunge.</p> <p>I'm pleased to report that although its turning circle isn't small and obviously it gets somewhat ponderous when fully loaded, I don't really have much of a problem cycling around Marchmont.
