Even to the point of being pleasantly surprised at the unexpected patience of drivers at notoriously snarly points. I suspect that no doubt it'll start up again once the children are back from half term next week.</p> <p>I'll caveat this with an acknowledgement of the usual ridiculous standard of self-absorbed, ignorant driving and parking that is omni-present in Edinburgh. </p> http://citycyclingedinburgh.info/bbpress/topic.php?id=9542#post-101301 Wed, 20 Feb 2013 19:26:06 +0000 gembo 101301@http://citycyclingedinburgh.info/bbpress/ <p>Today on way into Edinburgh town centre from Balerno I encountered numerous kindnesses from drivers, waiting for me to pull out into the middle of the road to overtake parked cars and buses, giving me a wide berth if they did have room to pass. all very good.</p> <p>numerous naive cyclists also out. Light mornings, rusty commuters coming on to the route and finding the east wind was slowing them down. I was getting used to it by Tollcross and taking them into account. </p>
