"...or freewheel..."

"...8 speed would be perfect also..."

I think that one was equipped with a six-speed freewheel with a Megarange biggest sprocket.

That would be most generous Dave, I don't think this bike will be doing a serious amount of work, most likely a thing of occasional pleasure rather than a hard working steed.

I have an old front wheel I have not used in a year since getting a new front built with the dynamo. I changed as I think the rims were getting thin but then again it doesn't have any wear indicator. It might do as a start until you get something newer so I'd be happy to donate it to your cause.

@crowriver I would be happy to take that off your hands (should have mentioned I am looking for rim-brake wheels). 8 speed would be perfect also.

That only leaves a front wheel, which is a much simpler proposition.

I have a rear wheel for rim brakes (I think it has an 8 speed cassette or freewheel attached too) that I mooched off wingpig ages ago. Never used it. Rims have some salt corroded alloy 'spots' but basically sound. You're welcome to that.

I'm building up an old bike I found in a skip for a friend to attempt to get him on two wheels.

Trouble is, I'm lacking the wheels bit. I did have an offer of some wheels that fell through, and haven't had much luck at the Bike Station.

Does anyone have an old set of 700c wheels for a 28-32ish tyre that is gathering dust that they might want to sell? Needs to be nothing fancy, and as I've yet to sort out the drive train, it can be freewheel or freehub.
