One problem may be that it could be easier to close it to all cars than it is to stop vehicles over 2T using it illegally or more than one car at a time going on it and causing damage.</p> <p>A honey farm person is quoted as saying "“The majority of our employees live on the Scottish side, and when the bridge was closed temporarily six years ago, they had to go on a 20-mile round trip, with a massive fuel bill at the end of it.” Couldn't they have parked on the Scottish side and walked less than 500 metres to the farm? The bridge is a short walk from the Honey Farm and both are on the itinerary. At the moment the plan is to organise the ride in May.
