Your post very much infers that your summer rides are not official CTC runs. That being the case you can have as many CTC members there as you like but the "event" will have no cover whatsoever. Nothing too spectacular, about 20 folk of varying abilities for 50-miles.</p> <p>After having had a wee hunt around here, membership of CTC and then affiliating the "group" seems to be the way to go for arranging liabiity insurance. I know, things were much simpler when I was a lad, etc., but I'm working on the same principle of taking an umbrella so it doesn't rain :o)</p> <p>Being naturally quite tight, and mindful that expenses will be taken off any funds raised, does anyone here have any hints on getting the best membership price? Is paying to join a local club in order to get a cheaper membership fee than the current £41 for a waged-adult worth doing?</p> <p>TIA </p>
