It's more fiddly to get the wheel in, but once it's there it won't move about when you tighten the axle nuts or QR. I think.</p> <p>Considering you can stick a long bit of wood into steel frames and cold set them into completely different sizes, I don't worry that a few mm will cause famine and destruction. I popped a 135mm XT rear hub into the Mike Cowal frame, now has a 130mm hub instead which feels more natural. If it's steel, there will be absolutely no issue just putting a 105 wheel on the back and bending the stays in with the QR. I've done this for years with a variety of bikes (for a while my white commuter was on 126mm with a 135mm spacing IIRC).</p> <p>Grrr.
