I notice we are not told which roads are slowest for pedestrians on account of dog-leg crossings with interminable waits and pavements cluttered with parked cars and extraneous signs. Presumably it has never occurred to anyone to measure such a thing. In the world of ITV "News", "traffic misery" is something only experienced by people in cars.

Also, who are these people driving cars in central London? What on earth possesses them? I would imagine the vast majority of people travelling along this street do so on foot or by bus and therefore the title of "slowest road (for cars)" does not affect them one jot.

It's all caused by speed cameras, traffic calming, bus lanes, cyclists, and an anti-car culture. Traffic would flow otherwise.

All England, mostly London.

http://www.itv.com/news/london/2013-03-19/londons-slowest-roads-in-rush-hour/

"cars using Jamaica Road in Southwark between 8am and 9am last month averaged just 0.08 miles an hour. An average pedestrian would walk about forty times faster."

"
"Our findings have revealed what a phenomenal amount of time many business drivers waste when travelling during the breakfast rush hour."
"

I assumed that Jamaica Rd must be really short, but it's not. Some people must be spending serious amounts of time crawling along there.
