Two new blocks of flats are being built and sometimes the builders need to send out a guy with one of those stop-go lollipop style signs when they're blocking part of the road for a delivery or such like. I was whizzing down towards the site with a line of cars about 20m ahead of me being let through. Little moments like this can make all the difference on a commute. </p> http://citycyclingedinburgh.info/bbpress/topic.php?id=9749#post-105281 Thu, 21 Mar 2013 09:00:25 +0000 cb.pola 105281@http://citycyclingedinburgh.info/bbpress/ <p>Big "Thank You!" to the lovely guy who has been operating the temporary traffic lights at the works at the junction of Grange Loan / Kilgraston Road for the last couple of weeks.<br /> I was hammering up the hill, at least 50 yards behind the last car in the stream, which was already proceeding through the green light, fully expecting not to make the junction before it went red.<br /> Said gentleman was about to press the button to move the lights on when he spotted me, paused, waited till I reached the lights and THEN changed them. That extra 12 seconds meant no delay (and loss of momentum) and made my day! Ta :) </p>
