The forks are branded SR Suntour, images below of fork, and a measurement of piston, don't know if this is relevant to travel....

Looks like a disc mount to me.

My only worry is the forks. I'm struggling to find info on the web as to their travel. The closest thing I can find is: http://singletrackworld.com/forum/topic/revolution-cadence-sport-09

It's the cadence sport, but it claims 100mm of travel on the forks. I'm happy to go from 100 --> 120mm, but not so much from 40mm!

Is there anything written on the forks to identify them?

@Rust, definitely isn't disc mounts on the front fork. There 'may' be on the back, there are mounts of some description which don't look like they are for mudgaurds etc, but also don't look like the mounts I have on my CX commuter bike, I have taken some photos of the 'holes'....

I've got a set of old discs and calipers kicking about and a pair of 120mm forks - been meaning to put them on a relatively cheap mtb for the gf.

I maybe wouldn't be too pessimistic about the disc mounts as the upgraded models of the cadence came with discs and I would guess they'd use the same frames for both.

@rust - honestly don't know (MTBs not my thing). I *think* the travel is ~40mm (from some interwebbing), and I *don't* think there are disc mounts.

I will check, and confirm tonight, but tbh (and probably doing myself out of any potential sale ; ) ) even if they are there, the cost to upgrade to discs on a bike of that cost/spec probably isn't worth it, unless of course you already have all of the bits and just need swap over wheels, callipers etc.

Cheers,
Mark.

How much travel is on those fork? And, does the frame have disc brake mounts?

OK, OK, sorry folks I've never really sold bikes before... ;)

Did some checking last night, and the bikes are 4 years old, bought in Feb 09. Stated millage/usage is correct though.

The ladies bike is actually branded a 'Cadance', and not a 'Cuillin, only differences being the colour, and the Cadance has a slightly shorter stem.

Both bikes are 18", so probably suitable for 5'6" to 5'10" +- a wee bit, there's actually quite a lot of adjustment in the seat post. I'm 5'6" and the seat post is a good 5 or 6" out of the frame on mine.

The bikes are fairly basic and have:
Shimano gears 7 on back, 3 on front.
Tektro V brakes.
Suntour front suspension forks, and cranks.
Mens has £45 Panaracer Fire tires (original tires there too).
Ladies has a Cateye wired computer.

Both bikes have some minor scratches on them from leaning against each other in our old house, but other than that are practically new. Brake blocks, chain gears etc have practically no wear on them.

Hopefully that is better info, I'll arrange some pics for tomorrow.

Tried to get Mrs Baldcyclist into cycling, failed....

As a result I have 2, 3 year old (I think) Revolution Cuillin mountain bikes sitting in the garage gathering dust. His is blue, Her's is red. They cost £250 each, and have both done ~50 miles. His also has Panaracer Fire tires that cost £45.

Reckon they must be worth half price? PM me if interested....
