<description>&#60;p&#62;Got to say that the previous month's one about Tavistock Place in London is a bit unfair. I use it whenever I'm down there, and it makes perfect sense when you're on it. It's the way it is because it allows a straight line route for bikes going in the other direction on what is effectively a segregated cycle lane.&#60;/p&#62;
&#60;p&#62;Some of the earlier ones, though, are absolutely shocking and I can't see any rational explanation for most of them (other than incompetence on the part of the designers and installers, obviously!)

<description>&#60;p&#62;The best of it is, it doesn't even provide adequate parking infrastructure. The spaces are too small for a car to fit in (even excluding the mahoosive Porche)! The average warden (in Edinburgh anyway) will have you if you are outside of the space, regardless of whether a car fits in or not.
