I'm also a happy City Car Club member. We've been in it for, oh, about 4 years now. Since my b/f sold his car, anyway.

Thanks for putting that up.

The car club is catching on fast! I'm a long time member almost from the start of the scheme. If anyone wants to know how I get on with it, only too happy to answer any questions. There are 4 vans in the club now too.

That is a great idea about luggage storage. I'd never thought of that and there have been a few occasions where I've wanted to leave a bag just for one hour or so but the queue to put your bag into and then the queue to get your bag out of storage can take 20 minutes easily as well as it being expensive.

What is 'Brompton Dock'?

cheers

Donny
ps lots of cities are in on the scheme. so you can get a train to say Leeds, York or Manchester and get a car from there.

Carplus were looking for volunteers to do short study/film about how car sharing has worked for them. Contact marketing@citycarclub.co.uk. Apparently there are 5000 members in Edinburgh

City Car Club also offering reciprocal membership with Brompton Dock for £1. Both operations have locations around the UK.

Hiring a car club car for a couple of hours can actually work out cheaper than using left luggage services at a station. Small car costs less than £5/hour. Handy when in London.
