Not really cycling (unless you want to cycle to Glasgow) but ...
I have a single ticket available for Transatlantic Sessions on Sunday 4 February at 1930 in Glasgow due to unavoidable circumstances. This cost £28 but I'd let it go for £20, which I will donate to charity.

PM me if you are interested

Looking to purge my embarrassing collection of unused bikes to any good home that will use them!

Hoy Shizuoka 001 (currently built but will need a new chain and cassette soon) £50

On-One Pompino V1 (currently not built but comes with flared drops and bullhorn handlebars, and a spare fixed/freewheel wheel) £30

Surly Long Haul Trucker (26" wheels and barely used) £200

All offers up to negotiation, all bikes suitable for folks 6'. Any questions drop us a line and I can get some pictures aswell.

    Ta!

    Schwalbe Marathon Plus 35.

done only a few 100km, had to swap it for a 32 as was rubbing on the mudguard on the new bike.

New they are 25-30. 15 or a tenner and a coffee @ PY.

It is sitting under my desk (above NEPN) in Newhaven if anyone is passing wants to collect.

@IainMcR If not gone yet, please? I was going to gradually fatten up from my current 28s after winter.

Free to a good home. I rode it, not quite the route suggested, but a good portion. Tis a handy book.

Giant NRS1 2003/4. Size is med, suit up to 5’10”.

Can still hold it's own in terms of performance, lack of sag and the fact it's phenomenal fun. Consistently highly rated and best performer in it's price class. http://www.mtbr.com/product/bikes/xc-suspensio/giant/nrs-1.html

Much loved: hence in great condition and with a recent parts upgrade (all less than 300km ago) it is better than ever:
    - Entire drive-chain replaced / upgraded to SLX/XT.
    - Shimano Deore disc brakes – as new.
    - Mavic 317 rims in great condition.
    - Panaracer XCpro 2.1 – good condition.
    - RockShox Reba front forks – serviced 300km ago.
    - Also includes a wireless Strada Cateye computer (needs a new bat)

Sale forced due to the realisation that it never gets used and is unlikely to see any use in the future (as I bought a 29er hardtail). If bought locally I may request visiting rights.

Ideal for Pentland trundling or Glentressing.

    All sensible offers considered.

I’ve got a Giant with tyres like that!

    “highly rated” (1989).

One pair of unused Deestone 37-590 tyres. They have what I would call a Roadster tread with reflective band and dynamo track. Free to good home.

My height is measured in hands, as for any donkey. But only to the shoulder.

This bike is advertised as suiting someone of 5 feet and 10 inches. Yet the height of the seat post would suggest the rider is 5 ft 11

i would amend the ad to show the relative ride heights in chains, nautical miles and hands, but the edit button ain't showing.

Actually the ad says would suit up to 5'ft 10 yet there are claims made later that the owner is two inches taller. This is either blatant misselling or wishful height inflation, which is it, the house demands to know?

    “which is it“

Bike/owner reverting to the days when it was fashionable for MTBers to lower saddle for descents -

“Serious riders open the quick release seat bolt, grab the saddle between their knees”

At 1714.5mm I believe I am safely out of the running.

@chdot: fixed - “Serious riders open the quick release seat bolt, take their lives in their hands and inspire disgust / envy in all watching if they succeed”
