The article is the usual uniformed Chipwrapper drivel.
It is expected to provide the same commercial fillip achieved at St Andrew Square in the years following Harvey Nichols’ launch in 2002
What commercial fillip is that? One side of the square has sat unnoccupied for years (half of which) is currently being pulled down. the next side has 1 shop, a Sainsbury's, the third has offices only and the fourth has a prominent former bank HQ that has sat vacant for as many years as Harvey Nichols' has been there.
Primark launched its Princes Street outlet in December 2011... but nothing compares with the chaos that met the opening of Krispy Kreme
Wait. What is it that Edinburgh needs. Expensive, iconic and "exclusive" brand stores or cheap and tacky brand stores?
The building was originally an expansion for Woolworths, back when Woolworths was an "iconic" brand for the high street. I wonder if the chipwrapper thought it was amazing when the Disney Store and Burger King moved in later on.
Plus ça change, plus c'est la même chose.

Just along from Harvey Nicole’s Multree walk ,the street with where you can not cycle, could not take photographs and could not smoke. On tube there is videos of the private security following people around Edinburgh harrasing and intimidating people for taking photos.
I see they have relaxed the photos and smoking, but still no cycling signs.
Blocks of land get bought up by developers and end up with privatized streets I noticed this in London where there was traditional streets bought up and then no access. As far as I am aware this is in the only street in Edinburgh that does not allow cycling.
I notice in Bruntsfield link there is no cycling painted on the path by the golf course at one end of a path but not the other. I wonder if this is just left from a time ago.
Where as I can see Harvey Nicoles bringing people in to Edinburgh you can already buy apple products in Edinburgh, although may bring some people in can see it brings some people in think the Harvey Nicoles comparison my apple is a bit grand.

Yes.
CEC managed to (eventually) remove all other out of day signs/markings on the Links/Meadows, but for unknown reasons this one remains.

I may pop in just to see how much would cost for an upgrade I don't need still smugly using my I phone 3 does not seem there has been any real innovation since not much added utility at least.

Yes, great product. Using one right now!
Can be had in good condition second hand on fleaBay for not that much, if you're prepared to bid low on a few auctions and wait to get lucky. Bought one for the kids' Mac that way (replacement for one where the usb connector was dipped in natural yoghurt by No.2 daughter while 3 years old. Not recommended!)
