Seems like a wee while since we had one.
For the uninitiated, this is Peters Yard on the meadows from 7.30am
CityCyclingEdinburgh was launched on the 27th of October 2009 as "an experiment".
IT’S TRUE!
CCE is 15years old!
Well done to ALL posters
It soon became useful and entertaining. There are regular posters, people who add useful info occasionally and plenty more who drop by to watch. That's fine. If you want to add news/comments it's easy to register and become a member.
RULES No personal insults. No swearing.

I'm on leave, so can do.
Thursday not great for me, but if anyone wants to collect #pop materials, I can try to get there.
The day after Wednesday and before Friday....
I'm 'tentative'.
EDIT: gazumped by an earlier edit!
EDit - sorry wc didn't mean to send that original post, so edited!
:D
Yarp. Thursday's a great day. Harbinger of weekends. Bringer of southerly winds.
I'll be out on the big bike, trying desparately to get some miles in my legs...
Statutory reminder -
For newcomers (ALL welcome) -
"Normally from 7.30 to 8.30 for most folk."
Some people hang on past nine.
Not sure I'll make it, I'll probably have to be in the office early.
Cool, I'm happy with Thursday. I'll bring the new bike to gloat about....
Have you installed the basket on it yet DaveC?
The basket(case) rides it currently.
Wee bump for this tomorrow!
Ooh, thanks for reminding, it had slipped my mind entirely!
Yeh slipped my mind too.
Phew. I'd have been sat there on my own wondering what I had done to offend you all!
I will go to woods deli in juni green 8until 8.30 as need to be in Stenhouse after that. I will email to this very forum using their free wifi. PY is close to my new commute if I am not on a site visit as it were
if all goes well, I will pop by - probably in the 7.30 - 8pm range - with some POP stuff for those who want it, then go home to collect kids for school run, and then perhaps pop back later for a coffee, if anyone from the late shift is still around.
:-( can't make it tomorrow, have a good one guys!
Argh! Forgot about this completely! Mind you, was running late this morning anyway, though meant I had the fun of riding through a nose-to-tail Melville Drive.
Bah, didn't miss you anyway. :-P
Lovely to sit out in the sun, even it if did get a wee bit chilly after a while. Managed to collect some POP stuff from SRD which was cool.
MD was 'nose-to-tail' (ie basically stopped) when i went through around 7.45, and again when I went through approx 8.45.
Why/how do people go that way at all?
Thanks for the lend of the top Min. I think the stretched bumps in the front neatly fitted over my shoulders ;o)
Nice to catch up again with the select few. Dave and I commented on the way to work, afterwards, that its getting like London in Edinburgh at certain times. There were crowds of cyclists at Chambers St and then again at the Tron/High Street. Nice to feel less of a minority.
Ooh er! :-o
Bit like London - Yes, I have had a couple of occasions recently where there has been a wee crowd in the ASL. And we saw that hipster too of course.
Sorry I don't really do Dog, or any other deity. So I'm afraid that nice quote is completely lost on me....
:oS
In case you think I've gone mad, the idea of the select few is a pernicious Christian concept which absolves people of all guilt as long as they are "justified" or born with perfect faith. The KLF wrote a song called "Justified and Ancient" the lyrics of which were brought to mind by your description of the Peter's Yard meet. Sorry, I'll go back to sleep now.
"They're justified and they're ancient"
