Caffeinated delights for the end of the week anyone? (and yes, I'm simply looking forward to the end of the week already).

sounds like a plan :)

About time I made it to one of these but I'll have to really force myself up to make it in time. Apparently you need less sleep once you're past the teenage years, but I'm heading for 23 and haven't noticed a difference yet ;)

Statutory reminder -
For newcomers (ALL welcome) -
"Normally from 7.30 to 8.30 for most folk."
Some people hang on past nine.

Sounds good to me.

I might have some bling new mudguards to show off
Posted 11 years ago # -
Please tell me they're either wooden or shiny chrome things!

You're right. They are either wooden or shiny chrome things.

I think I can come... I'll have to check.

So it's not Zazou then? Or am I getting confused with too much coffee intake.
Posted 11 years ago # -
Zazou was supposed to be last week I think, not sure if it happened or not? Nowt stopping people going to Zazou instead! PY is on my way, so perfectly convenient for me, and more than happy to sit sipping coffee on my tod. :)

If there was a posse up for ZZ that would suit me better than PY I think (although the other issue is, I can just leave early for PY and enjoy a decent stay there. I'd have to leave ZZ at 8.30, when does it open?
Posted 11 years ago # -
Probably best to sort a Zazou meet on another thread or it really will cause confusion!

ZZ Friday thread the best place to organise ZZ Friday. And vice versa for PY Friday.

Wasn't trying to upset things, but was under the inpression that there had been a venue change rather than an additional meeting as seems to be the case.
As you were.

Might just make this one. May have children with me so would need to disappear at 8.30.
I'll see how it goes...

I don't think I am going to make this after all, as I've managed to trash both my newly punctured and spare inner tubes for the Brompton, and so it is off the road until I can get to BikeTrax at the weekend. I suppose I could come on the Big Bike, but that would just be wrong...

"but that would just be wrong"
No it wouldn't.

Can't make this one as I have to move a (500kgish) trailer so will be in the cage :-(

Ha
That's very nice of you all. There is a shoe problem - I run SPD-SLs (for good reason - I wanted triathlon-specific shoes (with a single strap for speed) and they only come as SPD-SLs) so either I wear office clothes with silly shoes or I ride clipless pedals (admitedly fairly large ones) with fairly smooth soled office shoes.
Or maybe my wonderful boyfriend will get to BikeTrax before Friday - but I think he has better things to do.
(No, I have never learned how to do the putting your shoes on/taking your shoes off while riding a bike trick. I must learn sometime!)

Much as I like BikeTrax, (almost) any bike shop will have 16x1 3/8 tubes.
Posted 11 years ago # -
Really? I thought they were a bit obscure... to be honest, BikeTrax is probably our nearest decent LBS anyway.

@fimm - "office" shoes in bag? I'm expecting that will need to be a backpack or carrier bag - the Big Bike being race-lite?

@Roibeard I have shoes under my desk for when I use the big bike properly (i.e. dressed in lycra). It just feels like too much hassle to ride the that bike (which is indeed a racing machine) in civvies... and of course I'd either need my rucksack (for lunch and stuff) or to put the Carradice on. Maybe I will. I'm going to do the long commute tomorrow, anyway.
