Would people on this forum be interested in some kind of first aid course for cyclists? I don't how to get one arranged but if there is interest, I'd look into it.

IT’S TRUE!
CCE is 15years old!
Well done to ALL posters
It soon became useful and entertaining. There are regular posters, people who add useful info occasionally and plenty more who drop by to watch. That's fine. If you want to add news/comments it's easy to register and become a member.

Oh dear - the Velo Ecosse folks think that the repair of the shorts will be almost as much as new ones - two panels are damaged. I have sent photos off to Assos for a second opinion. Stitches in Bruntsfield won't touch it because it isn't flat. The opinion from Scottish Mountain Gear is that 9 times out of 10 repairs uses patches won't work on this type of garment - though if I'm desperate, I may pop in.
I may have to leave Assos behind as being uneconomical and return to better priced shorts.
First time back on the bike. Felt strange - like someone else's. Good to be back though.
Spent an age putting a new tyre to replace the one that punctured only to find that the wheel was seriously out of true. So that's further evidence that the grid was the cause of my downfall. May try out the shop in Dobbies to see how good their mechanics are.
Good news from Assos. It appears that my ripped shorts are on the way back, presumably repaired. If so, it says a lot about the company, expensive though the clothes are.
