    I've used http://www.ifixit.com a few times in the past for mending laptops - replacing hard drives etc. Very useful.

    Since I last looked the site has had a makeover and a new header.

    But there doesn't actually seem to be much about bikes!

    There is a 'mission statement' - "Fixing the world, one piece of hardware at a time" and, it seems, a new mission -

    "Help us teach repair What if everyone had access to a free repair manual for everything they owned? That's our mission. Share your knowledge and help us fix the world."
