Cyclist follows bin lorry
But can at least then take first left and get onto NEPN
CityCyclingEdinburgh was launched on the 27th of October 2009 as "an experiment".
IT’S TRUE!
CCE is 15years old!
Well done to ALL posters
It soon became useful and entertaining. There are regular posters, people who add useful info occasionally and plenty more who drop by to watch. That's fine. If you want to add news/comments it's easy to register and become a member.
RULES No personal insults. No swearing.

Icy this morning coming down into town centre. Stuck to main road as cars had already melted the ice.not soon bike lanes
Back roads round Morningside still icy in places - black ice, so beware.
Seemed like East Lothian had gritted last night

Well the boy learnt an important cycling life lesson this morning, don't leave so late in the winter that you can't scrub if it's looking icy.
He apparently manoeuvred too fast round a parked car and had a catastrophic loss of traction.
Busted lip and a black eye for his troubles. Irritatingly his current full face helmet has got too small, don't ask why he has a full face helmet he was ten when he decided he wanted it, but for his only serious off it actually would have benefited him!
Hope he is ok
He's got a fat lip, grazes on this cheek, forehead and is a little shaken up but largely fine now, thanks.

Though the warning stops short of Edinburgh, with the closest blizzard predicted for Fife, the city is not being let off that easily with snow predicted over the weekend and on Monday next week.

Forecast for Edinburgh on BBC says sunshine!
@stiltskin Yup. Checked it yesterday and booked my shopping for this morning, the paths are...fun.
MMW decisively more freshly gritted than NMW this morning. Hoping that means that the tractor was out and about, and not that NMW is no longer Priority 1.
Ice starting to form on the canal, as it does,
Watch your step out there folks, pavements are lethal in parts of south Edinburgh. I went flying on some black ice up near Oxgangs Library - nothing damaged apart from my pride and a loaf of bread that was in my backpack. I imagine untreated cycle paths, or those washed clean of salt, will be similar.
Kingsknowe cycle lane bad in places through not being gritted, Road was fine,
B800 queensferry to kirkliston path gritted. Newbridge to gogar not gritted and extremely icy.
Some/most of NEPN done
But
Back of lorry stuff at 1 today
Mr fimm reported upper part of the Innocent gritted yesterday evening.
