I sent an enquiring email about the railings outside John Lewis on the corner of Little King Street/Leith Street this morning and the possibility of racks there as the railings are often very full.
I got this response less than 4 hours later stating:
Thank you for your email regarding the need for cycle parking at this location.There were 2 Sheffield style cycle racks here but they were temporarily removed during the tram works.
These works affecting this location are now complete and it is our intention to have 5 cycle racks installed here to meet the obvious demand. We are currently installing cycle racks in George Street and on Leith Street and it is our hope to add these 5 racks to this piece of work.
If this is possible, it would be likely that the racks would be installed on or around the 3rd December.
I shall email you once I know for sure when they shall be installed.
