@jordanmiller - today's online 'headline' seems to be deliberately having a dig at cyclists by falsely labelling a Road Safety initiative targetting all road users as a 'cycling crackdown':
"Driver gets Asbo during police cycling crackdown"
Positive cycling stories, eh?
Looks like there's going to be a similar shared pavement arrangement at the bottom of Lothian Road - as I walked passed earlier this evening I saw a shorter than normal dropped kerb just after Rutland St which does not correspond with any pedestrian crossing.
