While I suspect this forum isn't the prime demographic for BMX buying I figured I'd put this up here before it goes on facebook selling groups etc. I'm having to sell due to needing the cash, lacking the cash to keep the bike going any longer, and worst of all having realised my BMX days I enjoyed so recently are likely over for good due to other commitments and increasing realisation of my own mortality when riding the thing.
The bike as it is is completely rideable but would benefit from an overhaul and some new bits soon. The frame has a bit of a history, the original one cracked, it was replaced under warranty so it's a bit younger than the rest of the original bits. There's a moderate dent in the top tube due to a crash, can provide a close up picture if needed.
Bar, stem and cranks are the original stock parts and have seen plenty of use. Tyres, back wheel, pedals and brake are in excellent shape. Front wheel bearings need some attention.
I'm somewhat out the loop with the used BMX market so I'm tentatively looking for £100. It cost £300 new, due to the condition of some of the bits and the frame I don't feel I can ask too much, but at the same time some of the parts are worth at bit by themselves - I might considering splitting and selling separately.
As a reward to anyone who's read this far I'll let you in on something - while fondly reminiscing about the good times I've had on this bike, I ended up composing a poem of sorts dedicated to it, which I may be persuaded to post if I can get over my embarrassment at it and you ask nicely.
