HMRC tightens up Cycle to Work Scheme

So I'm a few months into the BTW scheme, and just a tad angry that HMRC and this tight UK Government change the rules to suit clawing in as much money to the Treasury as possible! Peeps who are trying to do their bit for the planet, cut down on traffic jams, and generally keep fit enough to not be a major burden on the NHS, are sadly yet again penalised!
Confucius did say something like... 'there are no free lunches!'.
I wait with bated breath to see how my employer treats the outcome of the HMRC changes? Its a shame HMRC couldn't spend some useful time designing a simple, fair and equitable tax system for this country! instead of fiddling with the detail.
Meanwhile I wait by the river till I see the bodies of my enemies float by. (another old Chinese proverb).Posted 14 years ago #
