Last posts on this here forum about it seemed to conclude the opening hours were along the lines of Brigadoon and communications with the shop were a bit like the Kling Klang studio.
Chap at work lived near the owner as a youngster and used to help him out at the workshop. Wanted to know if he was still in business so he could drop by and say hello.
I still say this is a joke perpetuated against the cycling noobs, as it looks like the last customer was the guy from the Yellow Pages ad.
That guy's a regular poster now.
Gotta take up the slack now urbancyclist has 'given up' ;-)
A friend of mine knows Neil Bain, so I could perhaps get a sitrep on the shop. As far as I know, the place is still in business, for very small and generally undefined values of 'in'.
I still remember buying Tioga tyres there, pre-Bain, when it was Claymore Cycles. But I sort of gave up after it took a year for the Captain to not get some Suntour thumbies in for me.
