During my enforced lay off the craters of saughton have been smoothed. This used to be a greenway that became as the surface of the moon. I turned right from chesser ave onto what becomes Stenhouse road and a lovely new stretch of Tarmac beckoned. I know some people do not like red chip but in bus lanes the surface seems to cope better with winter and volume of traffic. Not sure how long the redness lasts? But the surface is sweet.

Took me nicely to my destination. Now as I was leaving my destination the cycling officer for CEC was arriving. We exchanged certain positive remarks about the work done in the school by a certain CH of CHdot fame. Chapeau.
